Today Rhiannon posted, "I never lie," so I replied, "Everybody lies." "Not me," she huffed, so I just pointed out lies people tell everyday, 'No, that's not too tight, Yes, I do love your green hair, Grandma, Sorry I'm late-- I was caught in traffic. Your tofu salad was great, bff. Yes your baby is beautiful. No I don't mind that you canceled 1/2 hour before the party starts, I can't come to work today--I'm sick' To which her response was to block me. You'd think she would have been grateful that I didn't bring up all the lying she did to her husband when she was running around on him before their marriage imploded
. But I digress. For someone who now suddenly hates lies, ironically she apparently hates the truth even more. Once again the hypocrisy is deafening. And this is why as it was 50 years ago, 50 years from now this country will be at the same place it is now, because we were raised on hypocrisy and apparently it is extremely comfortable.
