I know this because I was one of those mothers who happened to nurse two kids to cup, often in public but NEVER displaying my breasts. But hey that doesn't matter at all if you aren't backing someone's right to flop out their milk-soaked breasts in public. Then of course there is the tired argument that if you don't support it, you hate female bodies, but I earned a living photographing human bodies dressed and undressed so that argument falls on the deaf ears of those who need excuses to prop up their bullshit arguments. Hey listen, I've got my own gorgeous breasts and have seen more breasts than most people so I am kind of immune to breasts. but let's call this what it really is and discuss the ramifications of having your children unwittingly used as sex objects in a sick form of sexuality. When I nursed my babies many moons ago, we didn't have pocket cameras, pocket cell phones or video phones but it didn't take a genius or the advent of pocket cameras to figure out what COULD occur if we chose not to be discreet and we acted accordingly. The woman in the photo I selected is a classic example of an exhibiitonist feeding her child in public. I spent two years nursing two kids and never once did I have to undress to the waist in order to accomplish that goal;, no not even once, so I really don't understand other than for exhibitionistic purposes why this woman seems poised to jump in the shower at any moment while in a public park. I'm sure one of the breastfeeding nazis could come up with something but nothing that would make sense to a normal person, or a woman like me who graduated from La Leche League,an international nonprofit breastfeeding advocacy group. Local chapters hold meetings to provide breastfeeding information and support, and how to nurse your child in public without creating a scene. Does this organization no longer exist? Is that why women think they have no recourse but to expose themselves to your grandparents while they're trying to enjoy dinner at their favorite seafood restaurant, because they didn't have any guidance?
