My tiara keeps slipping

Is it just me or do some of you also have problems with keeping things on your head that you placed there? I hope it's not just me because that would mean on top of everything else that's weird about me, I have a weird head as well. Seriously though, it's a perplexing problem when you're a girly girl. No matter if it's a comb, barrette, headband, designer hairpins, hat, cap or tiara, as I am standing and conversing with someone, invariably the hair adornment will fall to the floor with a plunk. It's not embarrassing enough that this occurs, but sometimes I don't hear it and my companion will point out that the accoutrement is now laying at my feet instead of on my head. At this point being flustered, I retrieve the item but don't know what to do with it next. Horrified that it touched the ground I am loathe to insert it back into my hair and yet the only alternative seems to be toss it, but that's littering, so instead I grit my teeth and shove the errant adornment back into my mop. So now as my companion is blathering on, I'm not even hearing the conversation as I obsess over what from the ground might now be on my head! Meanwhile as the 1-sided conversation wraps up I nod yes in agreement and double down on it by speaking the word, yes in agreement, I find out that I just agreed to be part of the cleanup committee for Community Days. It's sort of like a metaphor for life, yes? It's hard to concentrate on the important stuff when something else is on your mind, or head. And when you are struggling and juggling with the daily adventures of life, it's hard to keep the tiara on your head from slipping. And with each passing day that I move through life I find it increasingly more difficult to balance it all. Therefore I've decided I must remove the excesses that block me from successfully achieving important goals in life, like the barrettes and headbands, and start concentrating on the most important things, like family and friends,

writing, and my tiara. #tiara #mekulp
