Where's it gonna go now?

Bunch of fucking hypocrites trying to stifle Free Speech are going to end up with egg on their faces as their chickens finally come home to roost, or rather, they will be shipped home to roost because the Asians have finally had enough of us sending them our garbage and are demanding that the US and Canada take back the 1,700 TONS of shit they shipped to Cambodia, which was mislabeled, Recyclable Products, in order to squeeze it through customs! https://www.ecowatch.com/cambodia-plastic-waste-2639228991.html?rebelltitem=3#rebelltitem3 The shipment was received a week after the country called a ban on these shipments. This comes a year after China banned the shipments. Meanwhile Malaysia announced they are returning 3,300 tons of waste, and the Philippines stated they've been waiting since the May deadline for Canada to pickup the unwanted shit they received. With miles and miles of plastic waste islands floating in oceans around the world it begs the question, what's next for all this garbage that was supposed to be recycled? Why isn't it being recycled as we were led to believe? Why are we still producing more and more and more plastic waste with such a dire crisis at hand? That last question I can answer for you: We still continue to produce plastic waste because plastic is derived from what, boys and girls? That's right; Fossil Fuels. O.I.L. OIL. And who runs the country? Obviously Big Oil, because after more than 130 years of auto production and sending men into space to live for years on end, we're still chugging out vehicles that only get 17 MPG instead of 60 MPG, which we had the technology for as early as 1968. Also in the 20th century, one of the reasons we had milk and other products delivered to our doors was because the products were delivered in glass and tin--recyclable products, so when the deliverymen returned the following week, not only did they drop off fresh products, they picked up the old containers to recycle them. This same concept happens every other Tuesday when the water guy delivers water to my home and removes the empties so they can recycle them. Milk and sodas were sold in glass bottles and they were pretty darn sturdy, hard to break, and as a bonus, we received a nickel on every soda bottle we returned, which is why most bottles ended up recycled. But here we are in the 21st century, with mountains and miles of ocean plastic as far as the eye can see.

Grocers however no longer want to collect and distribute the bottles to their rightful owners so plastic is bigger than ever. But there are other ways. As I've long stated about Tupperware, ALL containers and lids should be uniform so they can be reused even after you've lost the lids, and ALL soda, beer, milk should be either sold in glass, aluminum or paper, or all plastic containers should be uniform so they can be divvied up between the food companies who can take them back, sterilize and reuse them. We have got to stop this outrageous production of environmental pollution TODAY because we are running out of space TODAY. #garbage #recyclables #floatingplastic #floatinggarbage
